She is joined by an elite ensemble of Oklahoma’s finest jazz musicians. Performing at 7:30 PM on June 20 in Andrews Park, the Claire Piersol Band will deliver a dynamic set that blends classic jazz vocals with tight, high-energy arrangements. Some info on this all-star ensemble: Trombonist Jeff Kidwell, an esteemed faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). Kidwell serves as Jazz Lab Assistant Director, teaches Applied Trombone, and directs Jazz Ensemble II and the 5th Street Strutters Dixieland Combo at UCO’s renowned School of Music . His deep tone and expressive playing will add a commanding voice to the ensemble.

Jay Wilkinson (Trumpet) is a distinguished figure in Oklahoma’s jazz scene, currently serving as the Coordinator of Jazz Studies at the University of Oklahoma (OU). A respected trumpeter, vocalist, and educator, Wilkinson is an active performer and a member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic

Glenn Dewey is a distinguished bassist based in Oklahoma, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Double Bass at Oklahoma State University. Known for his versatility, Dewey performs regularly on both double bass and electric bass. His impressive career includes collaborations with a wide range of jazz and commercial artists, including Kenny Garrett and others, showcasing his adaptability across musical genres [1]. Prior to his tenure at OSU, he was a Professor of Double/Electric Bass at George Mason University, further demonstrating his commitment to jazz education and performance excellence.

David (Dave) Bowen is a Grammy-nominated drummer and respected educator based in Oklahoma City. A versatile and dynamic performer, Bowen has made significant contributions across genres, from rock and country to jazz and experimental music.
